FROM SYDNEY AIRPORT

TAXI / RIDESHARE:

Approximately 25-30 minutes depending on traffic, $40-$60AUD one way.


TRAIN:

Catch T8 train to Central Station and change for T4 train to Kings Cross. Approximately 30 minutes and $20AUD.

  • When's the reception open?

    From 8:00 AM, 7 days.

    Guest Services are available on-site from 8 am until 4 pm daily for all inquiries, reservations, and guest requests.

    If you are checking in after hours, please contact The Social Hotel direct to arrange after-hours access details which will give you access to your room and amenities.

  • What time can I check in?

    Check-in at the Social Hotel starts at 2:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you can relax in our communal lounge and store your luggage until your room is ready. If you arrive after hours, please contact our social team for instructions.

  • When's the check-out time?

    The standard checkout time is 10:00 AM. 

  • Can I leave my luggage somewhere?

    Yes, if you arrive prior to 2 PM and your room is not ready, we are happy to store your luggage safely with our social team.


    If you need to store your luggage after checking out, you can also leave your bags with us and return them later in the day to collect them.

  • Is there on-site parking?

    No, there is no on-site parking available at The Social Hotel.

  • How do I get there?

    The Social Hotel is conveniently located in Darlinghurst and Kings Cross Station. 

    Getting here from the airport, guests can book a shuttle through our social team by email

    Rest assured that our friendly social team is available on-site daily, dedicated to maintaining a clean and sanitized environment in all communal areas. They are also accessible to provide fresh linen, additional amenities, and regular check-ins for our guests.

  • Is there internet access?

    Yes, free for guests

  • Do you have a restaurant or café?

    Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant on the premises. However, there are plenty of fantastic dining options nearby, and our social team will gladly provide recommendations within easy walking distance.


    Guests are more than welcome to utilize our daytime lounge facilities, which are equipped with a microwave, a zip hot water tap, a toaster, and supplies of crockery and cutlery. This allows you to arrange meals on-site at your convenience.

  • Is there a lift or elevator?

    Yes, and you can access the other floors and roof terrace via an internal staircase.

  • Is there luggage assistance?

    Our social team, who are friendly and physically capable, are available daily from 8 am to 4 pm to assist guests with luggage movement, whenever feasible.


    Please ensure you contact The Social Hotel prior to your arrival to confirm your requirements, allowing us to prepare everything for a seamless and well-organized check-in.

  • Are there cooking facilities?

    At The Social Hotel, we have a communal lounge & kitchen available from 8 am to 9 pm. It provides guests with access to a range of crockery, cutlery, a microwave, a toaster, and a full kitchen.

  • Are there laundry facilities?

    The Social Hotel offers guest laundry facilities, providing functional and clean self-service washers and dryers on-site.

    The pricing for laundry services is as follows:

    • $3 for washing
    • $3 for drying
    • $3 for laundry detergent
  • Is there a gym?

    No, But there are many gyms located within the Darlinghurst & Kings Cross area

  • Are pets allowed?

    No, we do not allow pets at The Social Hotel.

  • Is there a grocery store or supermarket close by?

    Yes, the Coles supermarket is 5 min walking distance from the Social Hotel and Woolworths 7 minutes walking distance on Darlinghurst Road.
